Women’s Health Tracker, LoveCycles Launches In Hindi: Raises 5 Crore Funding From Prime Venture Partners

Bangalore, 08 March, 2016: On the occasion of International Women's Day, LoveCycles, a comprehensive women’s health tracker, was launched in India with Hindi language support. A ‘Made in India’ product with millions of users worldwide, LoveCycles has also raised INR 5 crore from seed-stage investors, Prime Venture Partners. LoveCycles enables women to keep a track of their menstrual and physiological health via a mobile application. Using this tracker, women can record their monthly cycles, associated symptoms and trace out a pattern to help them manage their menstrual health better.

Founded in early 2012 by a young engineer, John Paul in Bangalore, LoveCycles logs more than 1.2 million active users every month. It has clocked more than 6 million downloads across 190 countries worldwide. The tracker has garnered a consistent 4.4 star rating across Android, iOS, Windows Phone and Windows platform based on more than 50,000 user ratings. It is also one the few apps which is integrated with Google Now. United States, Brazil, Italy, Mexico South Korea and Russia are among the geographies seeing the highest downloads. LoveCycles features a world-class design and unparalleled user experience. It is backed by the app’s algorithm which has been enhanced for better accuracy and has the ability to track symptoms. Globally, the tracker supports 13 languages and very soon will support popular regional languages in the country.

Menstrual hygiene is one of the most important, yet neglected, health issues in the developing world. In India, approximately 70% of all reproductive diseases are caused by poor menstrual hygiene. There are 355 million women of reproductive age in India who need mechanisms and structures in place to meet their menstrual needs. Taking advantage of smartphone penetration in remote corners of India, LoveCycles aims to equip women to manage their menstrual health using a mobile phone. They can also use LoveCycles to increase accuracy of contraception and conception. LoveCycles helps women with the knowledge and support to understand how their fertility works and enables them to take ownership of their reproductive health.

The investment from Prime Venture Partners is in tune with its philosophy of working with category-creating startups. Since its inception, Prime Venture Partners (formerly AngelPrime) has been funding companies that are disruptive in product, technology, go-to-market and business model. It is also marks the fund’s foray into the healthcare technology sector.
